My name is Lexy & I’m the proud owner of Emerald Exotics! I’ve been an avid animal lover my whole life; owning many species over the years. I have 5 dogs, a lot of fish, & many bearded dragons. while my home may look & sound like a zoo, I wouldn’t change it for the world 💚

My dream has always been to start my own business. Doing what? Well, that was the hard part. I didn’t officially know what I wanted to do until after I went through a life changing event in 2023, which led to a spinal injury that changed my life forever. In a blink of an eye I went from a strong woman ready to take on the world by storm, to being in the storm trying to simply survive. This injury spurred me to take on this dream, a dream that I could fulfill at home with my newfound limitations.

Since I can remember, I’ve always had a strong bond with animals & humans alike; I knew that I wanted to combine 2 things I was extremely good at to make a difference & contribute positively to the world. I wanted to be apart of an ethical standard people looked up to, in an otherwise lacking world. I’ve seen too many animals suffer due to inaccurate information and neglect.

Starting this business has given me back a part of myself that I lost when I got injured & an important purpose. I can’t wait to share the joys of owning reptiles with you all!
